I started out this week by traveling down to the Baja Peninsula to do my pre-run with BFGoodrich for the Baja 1000. I’ve never competed in the Baja before, so it was a great experience going down there and getting prepared for the big race next week.

It’s that time of the year when you look back on your season, and I’ve been doing that lately. I’m pretty happy with how 2008 has gone for me with Kasey Kahne Racing.

It’s always an interesting feeling when another racing season comes to a close. Driving Mopar®-powered Sprint Cars with the World of Outlaws keeps you pretty busy, because the schedule is so hectic.

I’m at Perris Auto Speedway in Southern California, with my teammate Brady Bacon and the guys from Kasey Kahne Racing. In a little while, we’re going to practice our Mopar® USAC Sprint Cars for the “Oval Nationals” this weekend.

As many of you out there may be aware of, I recently announced that I would be stepping down from the Mopar®/Oakley Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car and NHRA POWERade competition at the end of the 2008 season.
