Mopar-Powered Saldana Takes Third Win of 2009 at Thunderbowl Raceway
World of Outlaws Sprint Series driver Joey Saldana is on a hot streak. The Mopar-powered Kasey Kahne Racing driver was victorious for the third time in 2009 on Saturday night, March 21, in the finale at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif.
Saldana closed to within four victories of moving into the Top-10 all-time with the World of Outlaws, after scoring the win at Thunderbowl Raceway to bring his career total with the series to 42. He now has three career wins at the track, with two of those coming in World of Outlaws efforts aboard the Mopar-powered Budweiser Maxim for Kasey Kahne Racing.
"It was a great effort for the team," said Saldana. "We made all the right adjustments all night long. We were good in the heat, the dash and the feature. That is all you can ask for out of your crew and your car. Hopefully we can win some more. Three is a good start to the season."
