Mopar and Chrysler Group LLC Display Heats up Woodward Dream Cruise

The 15th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise rolled into Metro Detroit on Saturday, Aug. 15, and once again the display area of Chrysler Group LLC and Mopar at the corner of 13 Mile and Woodward was a center of activity for many Dream Cruise attendees and Mopar enthusiasts.

Veteran Super Stock racer Larry Griffith proudly displayed his Dodge Challenger Drag Pak by Mopar in the Chrysler Group and Mopar display area, along with the 1968 Super Stock HEMI Dodge Dart he campaigned in years past. Griffith will also exhibit the car next month at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, with plans to race the Drag Pak later this year. One of two prototype Dodge Challenger Drag Pak cars was also on view in the Mopar Image Center.

The Mopar Direct Connection trailer, on hand with parts and interactive displays for fans, was staffed by Mopar personnel to answer enthusiasts' questions. The rolling Mopar Speedshop trailer also drew crowds as Dream Cruisers stopped by to snap up Mopar apparel.

Mopar-ized Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge display vehicles, classic Mopar muscle cars, and a lineup of current SRT(R) models covered the Northwood shopping center parking lot. The Dodge Boys Red Zone also entertained fans with sweepstakes and games.
