Top 10 Team Mopar Moments of '00s: #4 Team Mopar's Hubinette Captures Inaugural Formula DRIFT Title

The emerging motorsport of drifting felt the full effect of Mopar power during the 2004 season. Samuel Hubinette wowed the young Formula DRIFT (FD) crowds in his Mopar Dodge Viper Competition Coupe, winning three of four events that year and the inaugural FD championship.

Hubinette claimed victory in the very first FD event at Road Atlanta and the next two events at Houston and Sonoma, nearly sweeping the entire 2004 slate. Hubinette and Mopar tuner icon Shaun Carlson (who tragically passed away in October 2009) would also join forces to capture the 2006 FD championship, as well as runner-up showings in 2005 and 2008. Hubinette's nine career FD wins are a series-high.
