Top-Five Finish for Beauchamp and Team Mopar at St. Eustache
Ron Beauchamp and the No. 60 Mopar Parts/Mobil 1/Exide Batteries Dodge team came to the Autodrome St. Eustache in Quebec, Canada, for Round Three of the NASCR Canadian Tire Series on Sunday, July 4, looking to rebound from a disappointing result at Mosport. Beauchamp and the Team Mopar crew achieved their wish, scoring a Top-Five finish.
Beauchamp recorded the 12th-best time in qualifying in the No. 60 Mopar Parts Dodge. He dropped back farther in the early going of the race, but was able to march forward as he put more laps on his Dodge. Working hard right up to the checkered flag, Beauchamp was able to secure a fifth-place finish.
"After a tough outing last time, I think we’ve definitely changed the momentum of our team and are moving forward," said Beauchamp. "We had to fight for everything we got today and I’m really proud of how the guys worked so hard."
With the fifth-place result Beauchamp and the No. 60 Mopar Parts/Mobil 1/Exide Batteries Dodge now sit sixth in the overall championship standings. Next up is Round Four on Saturday, July 17, on the streets of Toronto at Exhibition Place during the Toronto Indy weekend.
