Mopar was dominant again thoughout the 2007 NHRA Funny Car season. HEMI-powered Dodge Charger R/Ts combined for 12 wins in just 23 events. Team Mopar drivers took three of the top five spots in the final NHRA Funny Car points standings, with Ron Capps leading the points race for much of the year. Gary Scelzi finished third, Capps fourth and Jack Beckman fifth. Scelzi and Capps were two of only four NHRA Funny Car drivers to qualify for the 2007 NHRA Countdown to 1 two-race title shootout.
