"The truck is working absolutely phenomenal right now. We're looking forward to this race and then hopefully going out and winning the [SCORE Baja] 1000. The truck is built for endurance. We have problems just like everyone else does, but in the long run I think we have the better truck, the better equipment with Mopar parts, the better tires and the better motor to outlast the competition. Time is on our side." -- Brian Collins, on his desire to claim victory in this weekend's SCORE Terrible's Primm 300 and in the SCORE Baja 1000, scheduled for November.

Rough is Right for Team MoparĀ® Driver Brian Collins at 13th Annual SCORE Terrible's Primm 300 Desert Race

No. 12 Mopar Dodge Ram 1500 Trophy Truck driver Brian Collins relishes rugged and hazardous desert terrain. His "rougher-the-better" attitude has Collins eagerly anticipating competing on the rocky and obstacle-filled course at the 13th Annual SCORE Terrible's Primm 300. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6 in Primm, Nev., 45 miles south of Las Vegas.

It's no wonder Collins is such a fan of the torturous event. The veteran off-road racer, backed up at the event by co-driver Chuck Hovey, took the 2005 event's overall and Trophy Truck wins. In fact, due to the reliability and durability of the Mopar parts-laden No. 12 Dodge, Collins is anxious the track won't be tough enough.

"This is a good race. This is like my favorite race — it's really rough," said Collins. "With the Mopar Dodge running so well, the rougher the track, the harder it is for everyone else, the better it is for us."

Collins plans to pull "iron man" duty, driving all four laps at the event if all goes as planned. Collins pulled off the feat once in 2008 already at the SCORE San Felipe 250 in March. The Las Vegas resident drove to a solo victory in the No. 12 Mopar Dodge Ram at the race.

"If I don't have any problems and I feel good, we'll probably try to save the time on the driver change," said Collins. "I'll just run the whole race."

The 13th Annual SCORE Terrible's Primm 300 is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6. The SCORE Manufacturer's Midway pre-race festivities will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (PDT) behind Buffalo Bill's Resort on Friday, Sept. 5. The Trophy Truck class race will begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. (PDT), with a vehicle starting every 30 seconds.
