"It's going to be a fast, crazy, hot venue ... it's going to be very easy for the engine to overheat or for other issues to come up with the high temperatures. The reliability and durability of our Mopar power plant will really pay off under these tough conditions." -- Samuel Hubinette, feeling confident at the prospect of competing with Mopar power in the triple-digit heat of Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend.

Team Mopar's Hübinette shoots for 10th career win at Formula Drift Vegas event

Ten is the lucky number for Mopar NuFormz Racing Dodge Viper SRT10 driver Samuel Hubinette as he heads into the Formula Drift Round Four: High Stakes on July 12. The two-time Formula Drift champion will seek his 10th career win when the Formula Drift Series makes its inaugural stop at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Hubinette and the NuFormz Racing team, led by team owner Shaun Carlson, are also fighting to reclaim the top spot in the Formula Drift points standings. Team Mopar's Hübinette is in second-place, just 31 markers behind leader, Tanner Foust.

"We're in the points chase. We're second in points, which is phenomenal," Hubinette said. "We obviously want to be in first, so we're doing all we can to get back on top. We have some test sessions planned next week to get our Mopar-powered Viper dialed in at Vegas. We want to do well and keep the momentum up and turn it into a championship in the October finals. Breaking in the Vegas track with a 10th career win would be a huge positive momentum gain for the entire Mopar, BFGoodrich and NuFormz Racing team."

The Formula Drift Round Four: High Stakes is scheduled for July 12 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The media day and practice is July 11. For ticket and event information, visit formuladrift.com.
