Sweet Wins Heat, Finishes Fifth in ‘Night Before the 500’
Mopar-powered Kasey Kahne Racing driver Brad Sweet scored a heat race win and came home fifth in the feature event in the USAC Mopar National Midget Championship Series "Night Before the 500" race at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis on Saturday, May 29.
Sweet earned the victory in his eight-lap heat race, finishing ahead of Darren Hagen and eventual event winner Tanner Swanson. With his strong fifth-place showing in the feature, Sweet is now second in the USAC Mopar National Midget Championship standings, 21 points behind leader Bryan Clauson.
