Sweet Wins with Mopar Power at Putnamville, Takes Third in 'Indiana Midget Week' Points
Brad Sweet of Grass Valley, Calif. led the last 12 laps to win Thursday night’s 30-lap USAC Mopar National Midget Series "Indiana Midget Week" feature at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind. The Kasey Kahne Racing/Mike Curb Ollie’s Bargain Outlet/Auto Value Spike/Speedway Mopar driver trailed Darren Hagen for 18 laps, then took over and beat Shane Cottle to the checkered flag.
Sweet also scored a second-place finish in the "Indiana Midget Week" finale at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway on Sunday, June 20, and finished third in the final "Indiana Midget Week" standings. The Mopar-powered driver is now third in the overall USAC Mopar National Midget Series standings.
