Sweet Scores Last-Lap Win at Angell Park

Kasey Kahne Racing (KKR) driver Brad Sweet won Sunday night’s 30-lap USAC Mopar® National Midget Series race at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis. on the final lap, passing Jerry Coons Jr. for the win in his Ollie’s Bargain Outlet/Auto Value Spike/Speedway Mopar. The victory was the fourth of the season for the Mopar-powered driver.

Sweet was also Sunday night’s fastest qualifier, but the final lap was the only one the Grass Valley, Calif. native led. Sweet, currently fifth in the USAC Mopar National Midget Series point standings, also claimed a runner-up finish in the Saturday-night opener at Angell Park.

"Kroger Speedfest" is next on the USAC Mopar National Midget slate at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, Ind. on July 22. For more information on the USAC Mopar National Midget Series, visit http://www.usacracing.com.
