Mopar-powered Clouser Scores Top-10 at Angell Park
Mario Clouser returned to action with the USAC Mopar National Midget Series on Sunday, Aug. 21 at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis. Clouser started 21st in the 30-lap main event in his Mopar–powered midget and worked his way to a 10th-place finish, despite getting upside down on lap 23.
Bryan Clauson, the defending USAC Mopar National Midget Series champion, won the 30-lap main event over Jerry Coons Jr. and Brad Kuhn. Caleb Armstrong jumped out to the lead at the start, with Clauson passing him on the fourth circuit and pacing the remainder of the distance to score his fourth win of the season.
Darren Hagen currently leads the USAC Mopar National Midget standings by 10 markers over Clauson, with Kyle Larson third. Next up for the USAC Mopar National Midget Series is a stop at LaSalle (Ill.)
