Mopar Powers Clouser to Sixth-Place Finish at LaSalle
Mario Clouser finished sixth on Friday, Sept. 2 at LaSalle (Ill.) Speedway with the USAC Mopar® National Midget Series. Clouser was the 10th fastest driver in time trials and followed that up with a third-place run in the second heat race.
Brad Kuhn won the 30-lap event on the ¼-mile dirt oval, over Jerry Coons Jr. Kody Swanson led the first two laps before Kuhn got around him, to pace the final 28 circuits. Bryan Clauson finished third, with Tracy Hines fourth and Kyle Larson fifth.
The weekend finale at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis. was rained out. Clauson is the current series point leader by three markers over Hagen, with Larson third. Next up for the USAC Mopar National Midget Series is a stop at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Sept. 24.
