USAC Mopar® National Midget Series
USAC Mopar® National Midget SeriesMopar® signed on as primary sponsor of the USAC Mopar National Midget Series in 2008 and continues its successful sponsorship for the 2011 campaign, marking the fourth year of the partnership.
Mopar-powered drivers have proven themselves to be among the elite competitors of the USAC Mopar National Midget Series. Josh Wise claimed the 2005 title with a Mopar powerplant, and USAC Triple Crown winner Jerry Coons Jr. captured championships in 2006 and 2007 with the aid of Mopar power. Brad Sweet driving for Kasey Kahne Racing steered a Mopar-powered midget to a runner-up finish in the final 2009 USAC Mopar Midget National Championship Series point standings and was eighth in points in 2010.
The 2011 Mopar Midget National Championship Series features a 27-event schedule on both dirt and pavement tracks across the country, testing the driver’s versatility on tracks that range from the historic Milwaukee Mile to ¼-mile dirt tracks. The series will visit 19 different tracks in eight states, stopping at such famed speedways as Ohio’s Eldora Speedway, Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis and Angell Park Speedway in Wisconsin.
The 2011 USAC Mopar National Midget Series Champion will be crowned at the season-ending “Turkey Night Midget Grand Prix” at Irwindale Speedway in Southern California on November 24.
Bryan Clauson is the reigning series champion.
